Horrorthon'08: GNAW (2008)

GNAW is yet another new British indie horror and unfortunately, like the others on show this weekend, it was poor.

The tired old story concerns a group of kids straying into the country where - stop me if you've heard this - they meet a horrible fate. There's not a sympathetic character in the entire film, there seems to be a competition between them to see who can act in the most stupid way possible and despite one or two decent shocks the whole thing is just a yawn-fest. Well, apart from the bits where you're too busy laughing (and not in a good way).

Applause followed the film, but it was mainly sarcastic. Avoid.
